The Dextro Energy Triathlon London presented by Tata Steel will show the world what to expect at London 2012, with the final Olympic dress rehearsal for triathlon staged on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August 2011, in London’s iconic Hyde Park.
Entries are now open for the 2011 Hyde Park event and are expected to sell out fast..
The 2011 race will give age groupers the chance to race on a soon to be historic course. Those taking part in the age group races of the Dextro Energy Triathlon London 2011 will of course experience what the world´s best triathletes will face in 2012.
In 2011, some of the race routes will for the first time feature a trip out of Hyde Park across Hyde Park Corner and underneath Wellington Arch all the way to Buckingham Palace and back. Age group athletes will have the option to choose between two different courses:
• Either race on the Hyde Park course (based on the 2010 age group course); or
• Race on the new extended Buckingham Palace course.
Both distances (Sprint Distance and Olympic Distance) will be offered on both days next August. The age group races on Saturday 6 August 2011 will be staged on the Hyde Park Course. The age group races on Sunday 7 August 2011 will be staged on the Buckingham Palace Course.
