110%, the creator of an innovative line of compression + ice gear, has confirmed that that Bryan Poerner and America East Athletic Collective (AEAC) will represent the brand in the northeast United States. “We are excited to have AEAC on our team as we position for growth in 2012, said David Green, CEO of 110%. “Their knowledge, experience and reputation are incredibly valuable, and we look forward to a long-term, successful relationship.
“Bryan Poerner has been a fixture in the sporting goods and active markets for many years representing the Puma brand and servicing the needs of the dealer base with integrity and hard work. We look forward to making a strong footprint in the northeast with AEAC.”
AEAC is a performance driven sales agency focused on the running specialty trade channel and has already introduced the 110% Compression + Ice line to Jack Rabbit and Paragon Sports in New York, Holabird Sports in Maryland, Philadelphia Runner, Bryn Mawr Running in Pennsylvania, and Fleet Feet Rochester.
According to Brian Hirshfeld, co-owner of Maryland-based Holabird Sports, “the 110% Compression + Ice line is one of the most innovative ideas we have seen hit the market in recent history. The idea of packaging the product inside a cooler bag so your ‘personal ice bath’ is ready for you right after your workout – regardless of location – is genius! Runners, tennis players and all sorts of passionate athletes will definitely appreciate compression gear that simplifies recovery in one simple step. We are excited to be part of 110%’s growth.”
The 110% product line launched to retail earlier this year with the Juggler Knickers, Transformer Shorts and Double-Life Shin/Calf Sleeves. In July, 110% added two new arm sleeves as the first upper body product offerings; and then it enhanced its collection with an ‘Upper Body Line’ that was particularly appealing to golfers, tennis players and cross fit enthusiasts. In late October, the company extended its product line with the launch of the Clutch Tights, full-length tights targeting the entire lower body.
110% differentiates itself from other compression players in the market, in that each piece of a garment fuses the benefits of zoned, gradient compression with the power of ice therapy to maximize athletic performance and speed recovery. The gear’s unique pocket architecture and flexible, reusable ice inserts give athletes the freedom to recover on the go.
Since the initial launch in February, according to the company, the 110% compression + ice line has generated groundswell buzz amongst passionate athletes looking for ways to recover faster and enhance their performance. Specialty retailers, catering to growing communities of high-tech, gear hungry athletes consider the lines’ unique mobile ice therapy as a differentiator for their stores and an additional way to provide value to their customers.
