3

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has announced this year’s Technical Education seminars and courses. 2011 course schedules are subject to change and will be updated with additional courses, in due course.

Those who wish to participate in the events are requested to register through their respective National Federations. Certified ITU Facilitators will deliver the courses.

Level I course
This is to provide participants with the theoretical and practical training required to officiate as a Technical Delegate (TD) at national level events (National Championships, National Cups) and as a Technical Official (TO) at international events (Continental Cups, Continental Championships, minor MultiSport events) held within their country.

The Level I course also identifies candidates for the position of National Technical Officials (NTO). Level I courses are organized by the National Federations and/or the Continental Confederations. ITU will provide the necessary learning support materials and qualified facilitators if it is requested by the NFs. Those National Technical Officials (NTOs) who meet the required test scores and a minimum 2 years experience will be eligible to attend a Level II course.
