Canada Running Series (CRS) has announced that Clif Bar & Company will be the exclusive partner for the 2011 season in the energy and nutrition bar and gel categories.
The sponsorship will bring popular CLIF BARs, CLIF Builder’s bars and CLIF SHOT Energy Gels to CRS events this year.
Canada Running Series is widely regarded as a leading running circuit in Canada with eight premier events: five in Toronto, two in Vancouver and one in Montreal, including both Canada’s 10K Road and Half Marathon Championships.
The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon & Half on 16 October is the Grand Finale and signature event, with more than 20,000 participants.
Clif Bar & Company joins an already strong group of Canada Running Series partners that includes Scotiabank, Acura [Honda], Oasis Juices [Lassonde], Harry Rosen Menswear, Asics, New Balance, Brooks, Gatorade and Aquafina.
The Series drew 56,000 total participants last year and raised almost C$5 million for 200 mostly-local charities.
