Endurance Films sponsors triathletes with new team

Endurance Films, the official video production company of USA Triathlon (USAT), is actively developing its own sponsored triathlon racing team, with the team’s inaugural event to be the 2011 Age Group National Triathlon Championship on 20 August 2011 in Burlington, Vermont. Applications are currently being accepted.

“We are always thrilled to be behind the camera, now we’re going to get behind some athletes,” said Endurance Films VP, Danny Kolker. “Age group athletes have the drive and dedication of pros, so we’re going to start treating them like pros.”

The team will consist of three to five triathletes spanning the range of age groups. Each athlete will be given a six-month contract with the Endurance Films Racing Team consisting of cash stipends, team apparel, inclusion in national multimedia PR campaigns and, of course, industry-leading training resources from Endurance Films.

“It’s always been our goal to help athletes reach their peak potential,” added Endurance Films owner, Eric Feller. “The athletes who have qualified for the US National Championship have proven that they are at the top of their game, which is why we have chosen to search for Team Endurance Films from amongst them.”

Endurance Films will unveil the team roster on 2 August 2011. The only criterion that must be met is that the athlete must have qualified for and be entered in the 2011 USAT Age Group National Triathlon Championship race. As noted by Endurance Films, to apply, athletes must send an e-mail to team[at]endurancefilms.com and make a case for sponsorship in one of two ways:

1. Send a link to a 30-60 second video giving information about you and why you’d make a good fit for the team (link can be YouTube, Facebook, personal web page or another video hosting site). Include full name, age and contact information including phone number.

2. Send 200-300 words describing yourself and why you’d make a good fit for the team. Please include 2-3 photos (competition/training shots of the applicant preferred). Again, team applicants should be sure to include full name, age and contact information including phone number.
