Recent Ironman Western Australia Champion, Kate Bevilaqua has signed with high-end cycling wheels specialist Rolf Prima. Her recent win at Ironman Western Australia made her a household name, not just for her impressive win, but how she left everything on the course, crawling across the finish line to claim her victory.
Kate first went pro in 2006 and quickly showed she was a force to be reckoned with. Within her first year, she took 4th at Ironman Western Australia followed by another strong 4th place finish at the 2007 Ironman Australia event amongst strong competitors.
Taking her first victory as a pro, Kate won the Port of Tauranga Half in New Zealand in 2008 and later that season placed 2nd at Ironman New Zealand.
“We look for athletes that push against any barrier to success.” said Rolf Prima owner, Brian Roddy. “Watching her IM Western Australia finish still gives me goose bumps and I’ve seen it a bunch of times. You have to love an athlete who puts it all the line like that.”
Kate will be racing on Rolf Prima TdF58 SL 650c and a rear Rolf Prima carbon disc, while putting in her training miles on the Rolf Prima 650c Aspin SL.
