General entry for the 2011 Ironman 70.3 Taiwan event, taking place on Saturday 5 November, is now open online at IronmanTaiwan.com.
The second running of the event will again take place in the historic region of Kenting on the Taiwanese south coast. The Kenting region is a vacation delight for tourists and visitors alike, encompassing a large national park and home to a variety of wildlife and a laid back atmosphere under the warm tropical sun.
The course will take in the coastal regions of Kenting and the adjacent National Park. Further course details will be released on the official site – ironmantaiwan.com – in the coming weeks.
The Ironman 70.3 Taiwan event features 25 qualifying slots to the 2012 Ironman World Championship 70.3, held in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada.
The race is also an official qualifier for the 2011 Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship, held in Laguna Phuket, Thailand – it serves as the final qualifier for the 2011 event.
