Ironman Champion, Jason Shortis of Australia has signed with Rolf Prima as his wheel sponsor for the 2011 race season. Shortis is well known for his win in a record setting time of 8:03:56 at the 2006 Ironman Western Australia and for strong finishes in general.
This latest sponsor tie-up from Rolf Prima follows its wheel sponsorship of recent Ironman Western Australia Champion, Kate Bevilaqua.
Meanwhile, at the end of 2010 Rolf Prima confirmed a flurry of pro triathlete signings for the 2011 season.
As an experienced triathlete, Shortis completed his 50th Ironman race in 2010 when he placed fourth at Ironman South Africa. Shortis also brought home a second place finish at Rev3 Cedar Points, Ohio, in 2010.
“Passionate about the sport, a community leader for fitness and health and all around good guy; Shortis is the type of athlete we look to partner with at Rolf Prima,” said Brooke Bauer, Rolf Prima’s Marketing Director.
Shortis will be racing on Rolf Prima TT85s and a rear Rolf Prima carbon disc, while putting in training miles on the Rolf Prima Echelon and Vigor RS.
