RunSignUp new race registration user interface

RunSignUp, a leading innovator of online tools for Races and Running Clubs, has announced the availability of a new user interface for online race sign up. The interface continues the string of new technology the company is introducing to make online registration simpler and easier to use.

According to the company, its new user interface is focused on several key areas:

  • Ease of Use – ‘we looked at each step and each piece of information collected from the user to make sure it is understandable and clear’
  • Fast – ‘we implemented a variety of technologies like caching and AJAX and Javascript to make things as fast as possible, while still supporting old browsers like IE 6’
  • Modern – ‘we came up with a new, clean design that incorporated new Google Fonts to give our race directors a fresh look to make their races stand out and keep their runners focused on signing up’

A video demonstration of the new user interface is available at https://runsignup.com/Runner-Registration/.

In another video, the process of signing up for a race on RunSignUp and Active.com is shown in a side by side comparison. According to the company, this demonstrates how race directors ‘can save runners from ad fatigue, making their races easier to find on the web with a faster sign up process with fewer errors and lower cost.’

RunSignUp services include RunSignUp for race registration, RunSignUp Clubs to enable membership management, and RunSignUp Sites for creating free websites for any running related organization.

‘RunSignUp is founded by runners for runners, using technical capabilities to bring the power of cloud computing to benefit the running community.’ According to the company, over 1,000 race directors, timers and running club officers use these services today. Services are free except for processing fees when conducting monetary transactions such as race registration or club membership renewals.
