Last year, Luck Stone, a presenting sponsor of the XTERRA East Championship in the US, provided comprehensive coverage of the pro race that included live video, GPS tracking of the pros, and a social media (GIS) map that highlighted tweets from spotters along the course.
This year Luck Stone is taking its live sponsored coverage one-step further by streaming four channels of live HD video starting at 08:00 EST on Sunday 9 June at xterra.luckstone.com.
“We’ve got four high-def cameras attached to LiveU backpacks which will give us the ability to stream HD video live at the event,” explained Trevor Blanning, a Digital Strategist for Luck Stone. “We’re really excited about this because while the action we captured last year was great, the video quality wasn’t. These video streams will look sharp and will be fun to follow.”
Luck Stone Corp, one of the largest stone and aggregates companies in the US, has a three-year sponsorship deal with XTERRA that kicked off in 2011.
The high quality video will also be displayed on four 70-inch monitors for those lucky enough to be on Brown’s Island in Richmond, Virginia, next weekend. Fans can follow the races on Facebook and Twitter at Luck Stone XTERRA and are encouraged to share their XTERRA experiences via twitter using hashtag #xterraRVA.
