Brand awareness & outreach – new Challenge Family Americas 2015 Age Group Team

Challenge Family Americas has announced the roster for its 2015 Challenge Triathlon Team. The 65 amateur athletes on the team will play a key role in ensuring that the race series is in tune with athlete and spectator needs, as well as building relationships with the local communities where Challenge Family hosts its events.

“These athletes will help us with a variety of things including brand awareness, community outreach and social media outreach with the ultimate goal of driving registration for us,” explained Eric Opdyke, Challenge Triathlon America’s Operations Director. “It is the single most important marketing program we have.”

The Challenge Triathlon Team is the latest iteration of the Rev3 Triathlon Team. In early September, Challenge Family and the Rev3 Triathlon Series announced a partnership to work towards their shared vision of providing a world-class triathlon event experience and to expand their global reach.

“The team is really exciting this year. It includes athletes who have been supporting Rev3 since our first race in 2009, as well as new athletes from across North America as the Challenge Family name continues to expand,” said Carole Sharpless, Challenge Triathlon Team Director.

“These athletes have all exemplified a long term commitment to supporting the Challenge series as well the entire sport of triathlon.”
