Competing worldwide and sporting the company’s award winning wetsuits and accessories, the Huub family now has a new addition… Spanish champion triathlete Eneko Llanos, who recently added the Ironman 70.3 St Pölten in Austria to his medal tally, has joined the international line up of athletes who already support Huub.
Huub Founder and Managing Director Dean Jackson said “When we launched Huub in 2011 we wanted to bring together a family of athletes under the brand and Eneko completes that group.
“We now have a fantastic line up of athletes from seasoned professionals to young hopefuls who compete in different disciplines and at all levels across the globe.
He added, “The international flavour of our family mirrors the growing reach of Huub across the world and we are particularly relishing the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer where our loyalties will be stretched across so many different countries represented by Huub family members!
“And the calibre of our athletes will ensure that Huub wetsuits are worn by the triathletes who are among the first out of the water. This valuable exposure will be an important element in our expansion as we look to increase our international market share.”
The Huub team notes that it understands the specialist technical and scientific fields associated with triathlon, including hydrodynamics and swim stroke analysis… ‘From smart scientist HUUB Toussaint, clever SwimSmooth guys Adam Young and Paul Newsome to pragmatist Dean Jackson, we are focused on bringing cutting edge innovation to our products, whilst retaining a sense of reality and accessibility.’
Huub wetsuits are worn by such sporting stars as Olympic London 2012 medallists Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee, Richard Varga (fastest swimmer in ITU triathlon), Clayton Fettel (Australian long course star), Frederik Van Lierde (Ironman world champion), Helen Jenkins, Caroline Steffen, Cat Morrison, Richard Murray, Henri Schoemen and Wian Sullwald.
