Leading kid’s bicycle specialist, Frog Bikes, has joined forces with one of the world’s best professional cycling teams, Team Sky. The collaboration will see the release of a ‘new range of stylish, high quality and lightweight kids’ bikes.’
Both Frog Bikes and Team Sky are passionate about encouraging children to cycle, working together to create practical, quality products which will inspire youngsters to get out and about. The new range, which will be unveiled at this years’ Eurobike trade show, will aim to embody these ideals.
The Team Sky’s Kid’s Bike range will include a balance bike, a first pedal bike along with hybrid and road bikes in a variety of sizes, suitable for children aged between 2 and 14. From their first moments on a balance bike, to their first race, the ‘range gives children the opportunity to learn and improve on their riding skills, gain confidence, and most importantly, have fun whilst cycling.’
Each bike in the range features the qualities Frog Bikes stand for – lightweight frame, slim-grip brakes and narrow handlebars; all features specifically tailored for younger riders. The new range will follow the aesthetic of Team Sky, featuring the iconic ‘blue line’ used throughout the team’s kit and bikes. The aim is to make kids look and feel like a pro.
Available to buy from independent bicycle stores, this ‘affordable range will be released this autumn.’
Carsten Jeppesen, Head of Technical Operations at Team Sky said “As experts in producing and developing kids’ bikes, Frog Bikes, has created an impressive range which is superbly designed for young riders. Frog shares our determination to give children the best opportunity to enjoy cycling.”
Jerry Lawson, Founder of Frog Bikes, added that, “Frog Bikes is dedicated to making cycling fun and accessible, and therefore [we’re] delighted to be collaborating with Team Sky. With our shared passion for encouraging more kids to ride, we are excited to launch this brand new range of high-quality, lightweight and affordable bikes so kids can get out and enjoy themselves.”
Frog Bikes was founded in February 2013 by the enthusiastic cycling couple Shelley and Jerry Lawson with the idea to develop children’s bikes that meet the needs of a child’s physique. Frog Bikes are characterized by their light weight, child-friendly design in addition to the use of high quality components.
The brand, guided with passion, is now represented by its dealer network throughout Europe, South Africa and Hong Kong. As Frog Bikes expands its European network into Germany, France, the Netherlands and the Nordic Countries, it continues its search for dedicated stockists to further bolster the Frog Bikes brand. In 2015 Frog Bikes is set to further expand into Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland.
