New Orbea Ordu on its way with ‘Don’t Just Finish — Crush It!’ tagline

Keeping up a tradition of teasing out new products, without showing much as part of the tease, Spanish bike firm Orbea is set to unveil the new Orbea Ordu.

The 2015 Ordu tri bike, which in previous incarnations has embraced ‘ergonomics and aerodynamics for triathlon’, will be unveiled on Saturday 28 June and comes with the tagline ‘Don’t Just Finish — Crush It!’.

Orbea has previously offered up its Ordu as the ‘ideal weapon for triathletes’. A new teaser video shows very little of the new 2015 model; instead opting for a typical working day and how triathlon and hitting the road can always be at the back of an individual’s mind.

Orbea is part of the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation and is Spain’s largest bicycle operator. Orbea bike frames are manufactured in Asia and finished in Spain – with the brand shipped worldwide.

In 2011, Orbea further cemented its relationship with Orca – the wetsuit and apparel tri brand. Heralding from New Zealand, Orca is part of the Orbea family – with Orbea and Orca reaching an agreement in 2011 for Spanish Orbea to acquire Orca’s ‘operation rights in the triathlon and compression area.’

This deal gave Orbea global rights to the Orca brand, following ‘four years of fruitful relations’ between the two companies.
