Speedo takes the plunge with Triathlon Pink


Triathlon Pink, billed as the world’s leading all women’s triathlon series, has unveiled a sponsorship agreement with Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand.

This summer, British women will have their chance to take part in five Triathlon Pink events in a unique event format designed just for them. The first race of the 2014 Series is at Crystal Palace on 1 June 2014.

The new sponsor partnership sees Speedo named as the exclusive swimwear and equipment supplier for the inaugural Triathlon Pink UK series, underpinning its commitment to the development of women’s products.

As part of the deal, Speedo will provide technical products (swimsuit, swim caps and goggles), with the sponsorship categories selected to strategically align with the brand’s key initiatives.

A release from Triathlon Pink notes that, ‘Speedo believes that all women should be able to look and feel great in and out of the water and their Speedo Sculpture collection reflects this. They understand that all women are different shapes and sizes and that confidence in and out of the water comes from great fitting swimwear that is also functional and made to last.’

With a shared passion for inspiring women to get active, Speedo and Triathlon Pink shall aim to provide the tools, resources and outlets for women of all ages to get involved in a non-competitive fun activity.

Trent Taylor, Managing Director Sales and Marketing for Sport 3 Event Management UK, owners of Triathlon Pink, said the partnership with Speedo is an ideal fit with Triathlon Pink. “Both Triathlon Pink and Speedo are committed to supporting women in sport at all levels and encourage them to make exercise a lifestyle choice,” he said.

To celebrate the announcement of the partnership, Speedo and Triathlon Pink will be offering a 50% discounted entry to the first 100 Speedo customers to enter any Triathlon Pink event.
