UK flooding sees TrailMan postponed to 15 March

Due to severe weather conditions in the UK, multisport events organiser Human Race is sad to announce that it has been forced to postpone the TrailMan Off Road Trail Run and Duathlon Event, which was due to take place on Saturday 22 February. A revised date of Saturday 15th March has been set for the rescheduled event.

The heavy rain over recent weeks has meant the grassed car parking area has become completely waterlogged and unfit for use by any vehicles. In addition, the events course is impassable in places due to excess water.

Organisers, Human Race, were hoping for a break in the weather that would allow more time for the car parking area to dry out. However with heavy rain forecast over the coming days, the situation is unlikely to improve by time of the original event date. The venue, Eridge Park, has confirmed that it can host the event on Saturday 15 March.

Nick Rusling, Human Race CEO, said “We are very disappointed that we could not make this work; however the safety of our participants must come first. It’s been a great series so far and we are determined to make sure it gets the conclusion it deserves. We sincerely hope as many of the participants as possible will join us at Eridge on 15 March and show that the weather is not getting the better of us!”

Human Race has contacted all those already entered into the event to make them aware of the new date. For any competitors who are unable to attend in March, a transfer to another Human Race event has been offered and failing that being suitable, Human Race will refund participants’ entry fees.

Entries will remain open for the rescheduled event until 09:00 GMT on Monday 10 March, meaning those who were yet to enter still have the opportunity to register for the event.
