Velofix enters Dragons Den with Olympic Gold Medallist Simon Whitfield

Two Vancouver entrepreneurs have entered the Dragons’ Den in Canada along with their business partner, Canadian Olympic Gold Medallist and Flag Bearer, Simon Whitfield. The team pitched their new mobile bike repair business – Velofix.

Velofix allows riders to ‘Save Time and Ride More’ by bringing the bike shop directly to the client in the form of a Mercedes Sprinter Van, fully equipped with all the tools and parts required to fix or tune up any bicycle right in the mobile shop.

Co-Founder Chris Guillemet noted that with aggressive growth plans for the business it was an incredible process to pitch to the Dragons and get their direct feedback.

Guillemet said “It was a great experience and opportunity to share the story behind our business model on national television with a panel of Canadian business moguls.”

Since the airing, Velofix has experienced rapid growth and now has four trucks on the road in British Columbia. It has also expanded into southern Ontario and is currently receiving an influx of franchisee applications throughout Canada, the United States and internationally.

Velofix Holdings is a franchise based mobile bike repair shop founded and based out of Vancouver, British Columbia.
