Triathlon Business International (TBI), the industry organization dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon internationally, has today announced the most comprehensive research study ever undertaken of the USA triathlon community.
Conducted over an intensive four-month period in early 2015, TBI has commissioned independent research agency MultiSport Research to coordinate the study. The TBI study will seek to collect thousands of survey responses from active triathletes, lapsed triathletes and those yet to take on a triathlon. The survey findings will be coupled with a program of trade interviews, and the final study will provide an authoritative and insightful report into the United States triathlon marketplace.
Interim findings from the USA Multisport Survey will be presented by Gary Roethenbaugh of MultiSport Research at the 2015 TBI annual conference, which returns to Marina del Rey, Los Angelese, California, at the Marina del Rey Marriott, from Sunday through Tuesday, 25-27 January 2015.
“The new TBI study represents a major advancement for our industry group and for all triathlon-related businesses,” said TBI President Jack Caress. “Launching today, the new major athlete survey will help us to understand purchasing levels and truly get to the bottom of this diverse and exciting market. Coupled with independent trade interviews over the coming months, we shall be able to build a value estimate for triathlon overall in the United States.”
To incentivize responses for the new USA multisport athlete survey, TBI member companies have joined together to create a pool of prizes that will be won by survey respondents over the coming weeks. Bikes, accessories, wetsuits, coaching sessions, event entries and magazine subscriptions are all up for grabs in a long list that is still growing. Check the TBI survey website page for a complete list.
