Tri Dynamic has just returned from its third annual sold out Mallorca Tri Camp with coaching legend Joe Friel, 2x English National Champion Will Newbery from 9 Endurance Coaching and TrainingBible Coaching UK’s Rob Griffiths.
This high attention camp was once again oversubscribed in 2015. Athletes travelled from all over the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Finland and as far away as the USA to spend a week learning from Joe Friel. With perfect tri training weather every day, the camp was seen as an ideal opportunity to escape the rain back home and enjoy spending a week getting in some early season miles and focusing on improving skills and technique in all three sports with Joe Friel.
The camp once again took place at the BEST Swim Centre in Mallorca where several of the best triathletes and swimmers in the world train. Participants benefitted from being coached by Joe Friel, Rob Griffiths & Will Newbery and having their technique video analysed each day to chart progress. Tri Dynamic notes that the athletes adapted really well to a challenging training week with up to 32 hours of training on offer plus lots of learning opportunities, classroom discussions and Q&A sessions with Joe Friel.
The Joe Friel Mallorca Tri Camp athletes were supported by Tri Dynamic’s Official Partners including PowerBar, which provided sports nutrition to sustain energy levels, and with over 30 hours of training logged during the camp it was very well received! Each camp athlete also received product support from Huub wetsuits plus exclusive offers from Scicon bags and leading UK retailer Sigma Sport.
Commenting on the Tri Dynamic Mallorca Tri Camp Joe Friel said “I love working with the wide range of triathletes we always have on our Tri Dynamic camps. This was our 14th camp working together. They are a great way to improve, make new friends and have a lot of fun on a week dedicated to triathlon and improving in the sport.”
Kirsten Cameron travelled from Edinburgh, Scotland, to attend the camp and said “The camp was very well organised and I had a great time. I took a lot from the week including a new swim technique and recorded a new swim PB the next weekend. The evening classrooms with Joe Friel were well structured and relevant to everyone, regardless of experience. Thanks for a fantastic camp to all the coaches and Joe Friel.”
Next up for Tri Dynamic is the second instalment of its Italy BIG Week Camp with Will Newbery. There are just a few places left for aspiring 70.3 & IM AG athletes looking to make their mark in 2015. With several athletes last year securing qualification slots for the IM 70.3 and IM World Champs it is seen as a great week for those looking to get in some quality hilly miles ahead of their summer ‘A race’ in the stunning cycling region where Marco Pantani lived and trained (qualification criteria apply).
