Canadian high-end bike manufacturer Argon 18 has confirmed the signing of pro triathlete Eric Lagerstrom and the contract renewal of Magali Tisseyre.
“These are important partnerships for us,” said Gervais Rioux, Founder and President of Argon 18. “The company is pleased to be associated with these world-class athletes and to play a role in their future success. Also, Eric and Magali both reside in California, where they have an important and positive influence in the world of triathlon. Their fame radiates throughout the US market.”
For Portland-native triathlete, Eric Lagerstrom, this latest sponsorship is seen as a turning point in his career. A release from Argon 18 explained that ‘Eric is very selective and believes in the companies that he works with and wants to be a part of their successes… Representing products or companies that one genuinely believes in is the only way to have an authentic brand.’
“I finally found the bike company that is as excited and passionate about triathlon as I am,” said Lagerstrom. “I couldn’t be happier to announce my partnership with Argon 18 moving forward. I get to join Magali, riding bikes we believe in 100%, and working with people who have a relentless pursuit of excellence. This is going to be a lot of fun.”
As for Magali Tisseyre, the contract renewal is seen as a successful story that continues with Argon 18. This determined athlete has also displayed a roadmap marked by victory, as her 2015 palmares shows: first at IRONMAN 70.3 Monterrey; second at St Anthony’s Triathlon; second at IRONMAN Vietnam; and fourth at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Argon 18 has been an innovator in triathlon racing for over a decade. Driven by a commitment to continually push the envelope, the company introduced the ONEness concept in 2008. This concept, which fully and symbiotically integrates the fork, stem and handle bars, is positioned as a truly versatile solution to optimizing aerodynamics.
Argon 18 adds that the ONEness revolution has had a huge impact on the industry and its main players. The company goes on to cite that ‘over 30% of all triathlon bikes used in the Kona IRONMAN World Championship have integrated Argon 18’s innovative concept.’
