Early Bird opens for USAT Race Director Symposium presented by ACTIVE

The USA Triathlon Race Director Symposium presented by ACTIVE Network returns to Colorado Springs on 14-17 January 2016, with race directors from across the US meeting at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, and registration is now open.

The annual USA Triathlon Race Director Symposium presented by ACTIVE Network is seen as a unique opportunity for race directors to gain extensive knowledge from top professionals in event planning and execution.

As the leading educational event for multisport race directors, attendees will also meet and network with their peers while engaging with the USA Triathlon staff, speaking one-on-one with the risk management team from ESIX and becoming informed on various issues and trends within the multisport industry.

“Our Event Services team and the entire USA Triathlon staff looks forward to welcoming our race director family back to our hometown of Colorado Springs in January,” said Kathy Matejka, USA Triathlon Event Services Director.

She added, “The business and industry of triathlon are evolving rapidly, and the competitive economic climate requires collaboration. This event provides tools, key information and support for race directors to solidify their local community relationships, empower business decisions and grow the sport.”

Registration includes breakfast and lunch from Friday through Sunday; the Friday Night Welcome Reception; the 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday morning; and the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame Banquet (cocktail reception, dinner and inductee presentation) on Saturday evening.
