Challenge Family has confirmed a new sponsorship partner for this year’s DATEV Challenge Roth on 12 July. Medical and pharma appliance company Memmert, with more than 270 employees and its HQ close to Roth in Germany, is now and for at least the next three years a new partner of the iconic Challenge Roth event.
Supporting the Challenge Roth event on its doorstep, Memmert is a speciaist in the development of heating ovens, incubators, climate chambers as well as waterbaths and oilbaths for a wide range of applications in biological, pharmaceutical and food research as well as industrial quality testing.
Savouring a unique event atmosphere, Challenge Roth athletes make pilgrimages from over 60 countries worldwide to Roth each year. For over 80 years, Memmert has been present in neighboring Büchenbach. A number of the company’s staff are keen athletes; and the company has chosen to partner with Challenge Roth, which is ‘the world’s largest long distance triathlon’.
While the area of high-precision temperature control for industrial purposes may seem a long way from triathlon, a release from Challenge Family notes that Memmert’s research and industrial excellence can be transferred to the participating athletes in Roth. For example, Memmert has for a number of years understood the highest quality standards in terms of watt measurement. This is an area of increasing importance to triathletes and cyclists alike when measuring effort on the bike.
Another area of Memmert’s expertise is the analysis of soil samples in road paving. Challenge Family adds that this can ensure the right mix for the right road surface, and that no cracks should form on the Challenge Roth bike course.
