Florida-based event organizer MultiRace has announced the acquisition of the City Bikes Las Olas Triathlon. The City Bikes Las Olas Triathlon, scheduled to take place on 13 March 2016 at DC Alexander Park in Fort Lauderdale, is the latest event added to the MultiRace portfolio, as the company aims to build its event offering.
Having been organized by Miami Tri Events and sponsored by City Bikes, race distances at the newly acquired 2016 City Bikes Las Olas Triathlon include an International Triathlon, a Sprint Triathlon and a Sprint Duathlon.
A release from the organizing team at MultiRace added, ‘We look forward to continuing the great tradition this event has developed over the years!’
Established in 2002, MultiRace has become ‘the largest multiple-sport event management company in the State of Florida’, managing more than 30 endurance events. Acquired by DaGrosa Partners in late 2013, MultiRace is ‘committed to continuously improving the racer’s experience and the quality of events.’
Since the acquisition by DaGrosa Partners, growth initiatives have included expanding the Miami Man Series to the Homestead-Miami Speedway as a new venue. Meanwhile, in November 2014, MultiRace announced the acquisition of the Key West Triathlon (TRIKW). Following the deal, the Key West Triathlon, taking place in December each year, became ‘an integral part of the MultiRace roster of premier triathlon events.’
With a team of seasoned triathlon and running event management professionals, MultiRace aims to create racing opportunities for athletes to ‘RACE HAPPY!’
