With more than 2,000 athletes already registered, there are less than 100 spots left at Challenge Heilbronn in Germany before the event is completely sold out. In its first year as a Challenge Family event this year, Heilbronn has already built a reputation for its central city course and ‘outstanding spectator support’.
Billed as the biggest Challenge Half distance race in Germany, in 2015, Challenge Heilbronn kicks-off on 21 June 2015. The event, which is situated near to Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Nuremberg, is positioned less than one month before this year’s DATEV Challenge Roth.
The new Challenge branded event – Sparkasse Challenge Heilbronn powered by Audi – itself originates from the Sparkasse CityTriathlon Heilbronn powered by Audi. This event, over a period of five years, has been built up by its organisers Erich Hoffmann, Achim Kern and Christoph Troßbach at Sports & Event GBR – with it coming under the Challenge Family umbrella in 2015.
The regional Baden-Württemberg Triathlon Championships have also been confirmed to run in tandem with the new Challenge Heilbronn 2015. This inclusion of the Baden-Württemberg Championships at the newly branded Challenge Heilbronn is the result of a longer-standing relationship between the organizers and the Baden-Württemberg Triathlon Federation.
