Clean Bottle, the company that ‘revolutionized the water bottle’ with a screw off bottom for easy cleaning, has redesigned its original sport bottle, fully made and manufactured within the US. The original Clean Bottle was launched at the Tour de France in 2010 via a stunt where the founder donned a giant ‘Bottle Boy’ costume and chased the best cyclists in the world to compete for television air time and fan attention.
In only two weeks following the stunt, Clean Bottle sold over US$70,000 worth of bottles and landed a significant retail presence.
Designed with functionality and performance in mind, the updated bottle is made entirely in the USA and features a new shape that fits more snugly into bottle cages and an added texture on the body and caps, making the bottle easier to grip and the caps easier to open than its predecessor.
Now offered in two sizing options, 20 ounces and 23 ounces, the 2.0 version offers customers more options and features a lower price point. The bottle will be available in four colour options (blue, black, green and red), is dishwasher safe and is guaranteed for life.
Five years after its launch, Clean Bottle notes that it remains just as authentic to its commitment to sport and social responsibility and has achieved its goal to shift towards a ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ initiative. The decision to manufacture 100% of the sport bottle within the US is seen as a natural progression of the company’s direction and the product development process.
