UK triathlon brands Bonk and Race Force, which announced in January that they will launch a line of co-branded merchandise, have today revealed the first glimpses of what the collection will entail.
Race Force will have its own select line of Bonk branded gear and has re-worked the ‘I will not bonk’ catch phrase and design with an eye-catching t-shirt that showcases Race Force’s ‘together we race’ company tag line in a speech bubble across the back.
The collaboration with apparel company Bonk sees event travel & transportation specialist Race Force retailing the 2015 Bonk collection at events all over Europe this summer.
Race Force debuted on the European triathlon race scene at Ironman Austria in 2013. The founders are active, passionate triathletes who specialise in taking athletes and their bikes to triathlon and cycling events across Europe.
Race Force offers a raft of boutique services ranging from pure bike transportation to all-inclusive packages, including flights, accommodation, race orientation, mechanical support and of course that all important safe bike transit – the bane of so many triathletes racing abroad.
In addition to its own merchandise, Race Force will stock the 2015 Bonk range in its race hubs at events throughout Europe this coming season, offering athletes all over the continent a chance to grab themselves some gear.
Kate Linsley of Race Force said “We really like the fun nature of the speech bubble, so when the opportunity arose to use it with our own company mantra we jumped at it; can’t wait to see people wearing the t-shirt this summer!’’
Also in Race Force colours will be a performance running top with three dash logo vertically down the back – a feature of the Bonk training range, plus a hoodie is on the way too.
Bonk released a collection of running tops in the summer of 2014 which the company notes were a big hit. In 2015 its is expanding on a range that will include a new ‘Don’t Stop Run’ design, available as a technical t-shirt and singlet.
In addition Bonk has more training apparel and lifestyle t-shirts in the pipeline, available to pre-order in May.
Fans of the ‘Aero’ t-shirt will see that it makes a return this summer in navy and silver, whilst this new bike design depicts a sleek silhouette of a single speed racer.
When discussing the summer ahead and future plans for the brand, Bonk’s founder Charlie Evans said ‘’2014 was a very big year for us, our customer base and following grew massively. For us it’s now all about building on that with an increasing range of quality products and designs that stand out from the crowd.
“Whether you fancy adding some Bonk clobber to your wardrobe, or want to get your hands on this limited edition Race Force collection; you will be able to do both at Race Force race hubs all over Europe this summer as well as online.”
Grass roots apparel label Bonk has made great strides over the past two years. Having broken convention with its swim, bike, run inspired lifestyle apparel, it followed up with a collection of technical training tops in 2014 and more is set to follow this year.
Bonk’s alternative approach and fresh designs have received international recognition with online orders reportedly coming from all over the world. Bonk has established a retail and distribution network covering South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada, with more in the pipeline.
