The CeramicSpeed Oversized Pulley Wheel System has extended its compatibility options to SRAM Red, Force and Rival groupsets. The new version of the system for SRAM riders, designed and developed by CeramicSpeed in Denmark, was unveiled at the Eurobike trade show this week. The new product is expected to be available for purchase by mid-October 2016.
The CeramicSpeed Oversized Pulley Wheel System is billed as the only 17-tooth pulley wheel system, completely designed and developed by CeramicSpeed, in Denmark. Matching lightweight materials, ‘the lowest friction bearings and the longest lifetime with consistent road and lab testing’, the CeramicSpeed OSPW System delivers energy savings and reduces the friction in the derailleur by a claimed 40-60%.
New SRAM groupset compatibility
The newest addition to the product collection, the CeramicSpeed OSPW System for SRAM is designed to be compatible with SRAM Red, Force and Rival derailleur groupsets. The SRAM version fits up to 32-tooth size cassettes. The newly released system comes in two options, one compatible with SRAM eTap, and another one compatible with SRAM mechanical groupsets, 10-speed and 11-speed setups.
As with the OSPW System for Shimano, the SRAM version is available with both coated and standard CeramicSpeed Bearings.
Technology for long-lasting performance
The OSPW System enhances the efficiency in the drivetrain by removing the sharp chain articulation found in standard 11-tooth systems. The CeramicSpeed 17-tooth OSPW System increases the power savings starting at 1.6 watts for the SRAM versions and 2.4 watts for the Shimano version. According to CeramicSpeed, this unique innovative system delivers optimal gains, unrivalled frictional reduction and a lifetime warranty of up to 6 years.
CeramicSpeed Managing Director Martin Banke said “A year ago we released on the market the most efficient oversized pulley wheel system. It was just a matter of time until more and more riders would try out and get to understand the real advantages of the OSPW Systems. And when that happened, we’ve watched the OSPW System make the first appearance at Tour de France.
“After months of research and testing, at the request of athletes worldwide, we are now able to help riders boost their performance, with both Shimano and SRAM groupsets, letting them enjoy the benefits of this technologic advance.”
