Challenge Family has today announced a new partnership with the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation, which sees the foundation appointed as an official worldwide partner of Challenge Family.
Gordon and Tana are both keen triathletes; and this Challenge Family partnership is a vehicle to continue the work of the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation as well as participate in some of the iconic Challenge Family races across the globe.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Gordon, Tana and the team at the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation. The work they do with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is extraordinary and we are honoured to be able to play a small part in the contribution that the foundation makes,” said Zibi Szlufcik, CEO of Challenge Family.
He continued, “Of course, we can’t wait to welcome Gordon, Tana and all Team Ramsay athletes to our upcoming events – and ensuring that they have a world-class race and experience the athlete-first focus of Challenge Family events.”
The Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation raises funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, a cause which is close to the hearts of the Ramsay family, with funds raised being directed towards providing world-class care for young patients and their families, to pioneer new treatments, and the provision of cutting edge equipment and state-of-the art facilities.
Gordon Ramsay, world renowned through his restaurants and television shows and wife Tana recently prepared a short video to announce the partnership between the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation and Challenge Family.
In 2017, Challenge Family participants will be able to raise funds for the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation through their event participation or make donations as part of their event registration fee. More details about fundraising opportunities will be made available in the coming months.
The Challenge Family series of triathlons features 50 races in 26 countries around the world, including the world’s largest long distance triathlon, Challenge Roth in Germany. The birthplace of the Challenge Family, ROTH now features over 5,500 athletes and 220,000 spectators and is home to both world records held by Jan Frodeno (GER) and Chrissie Wellington (GBR).
Since 2002, races throughout Europe, UK, Australasia, Asia, North America and South America have joined Roth. Together they aim to provide athletes with a new experience of long distance racing with a strong focus on athlete and spectator experience, giving back to the community while respecting the legacy of sport and being committed to its continued growth.
The Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation supports the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children’s Charity. Each year, GOSH receives more than 255,000 patient visits from children and young people across the UK. The money raised through The Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation’s partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity will help these children and their families at a time when they need it most.
