Polar introduces third party route import to Polar Flow

Polar has announced that users can now import saved routes from third-party services to the Polar Flow web service. Polar Flow supports GPX or TCX files up to 25 MB. After importing routes to Flow, users can then sync routes to their Polar V800 and Polar V650 and receive route guidance during training adventures.

The latest announcement from Polar sees the company upping its game against rivals such as Garmin. Earlier this month, Polar announced the availability of the new Javier Gomez-Noya Polar special edition V800 and future Polar V800 compatibility with GoPro cameras.

To get started, users export a route from a third party web service in either a GPX or TCX file format; then, sign into Polar Flow and click the Favorites icon. Users import the file, name the route and select the sport. After importing, the route will be added to favorites.

Further details on importing routes can be found on the Polar website.
