Sun Multisport Events has today announced that the Slowtwitch Road Show will be pulling into Boston for the 13th annual TRI-MANIA Summit and Expo – billed as ‘the epicenter of all things triathlon’ – on Saturday 19 March 2016 at Boston University’s Fit Rec Center.
TRI-MANIA, developed in partnership with the USA Triathlon Northeast Regional Council, is the northeast’s premier gathering dedicated to ‘educating, equipping and inspiring triathletes and kicking off the new multisport season.’
Slowtwitch founder, industry veteran and USA Triathlon Hall of Famer Dan Empfield will be at the helm of the Slowtwitch Road Show Pavilion that will be part of the TRI-MANIA expo. The Slowtwitch Pavilion will showcase the latest triathlon gear from some of the biggest brands in the sport, including SRAM, Zipp, Trek, Hoka One One, Cannondale, Cobb Cycling, Powertap and CycleOps.
Empfield will be joined in the Slowtwitch Pavilion by other industry leaders and innovators including John Cobb, founder of Cobb Cycling. In addition to demos and clinics, the Slowtwitch Road Show will bring its ‘unique processes to help riders quickly discover their optimal saddles and bikes.’
Later, Landry’s Bicycles will host a hospitality event at its Boston store, directly across the street from the BU Fit Rec Center, home of TRI-MANIA, with Slowtwitch staff greeting Slowtwitchers.
The addition of the Slowtwitch Road Show Pavilion to the already packed TRI-MANIA Summit & Expo line-up promises a notable attendee experience that also includes a keynote presentation by Mike Reilly, the ‘Voice of IRONMAN’; seminars and clinics led by top coaches and experts, including renowned sports medicine physician and best-selling author, Dr Jordan Metzl, elite coach Joe Friel; and famed swim coach, swimming-technique trailblazer and Total Immersion founder, Terry Laughlin, and others.
Additional highlights include: competitive events; the expo with 75+ exhibitors; and a Grand Prize Giveaway – a 4-day 2017 RaceQuest Travel Triathlon Training Camp in Costa Rica valued at US$2,875.
In addition to a full slate of seminars, TRI-MANIA offers athletes hands-on clinics and classroom-style workshops, competitive events for individuals and teams – to which Mike Reilly will lend his hallmark announcing skills – and a product-packed vendor expo.
Free general registration for TRI-MANIA is now open online. As an added bonus, the first 1,000 registrants will receive a goodie bag filled with product samples, valuable coupons and more.
TRI-MANIA is produced by the award-winning team at Sun Multisport Events. In addition to TRI-MANIA, Sun Multisport produces a series of endurance events throughout New England ranging from sprint to half-distance triathlons and running events.
