TOUGHMAN unveils national club loyalty program for 2017

TOUGHMAN Half finish

New for 2017, the TOUGHMAN Series is implementing a Club Loyalty Program that will reward clubs that participate in its races. All clubs in the US that register and participate in TOUGHMAN Series races will compete for a top 3 Club Championship Prize Purse.

There will be a separate Local Tri Club Program as well additional prizes to be awarded to local clubs. Top clubs will be awarded a cash purse that will be based upon a points system that will be announced in the autumn/fall.

A release from TOUGHMAN notes that the sport of triathlon is ‘based upon the ecosystem of athletes, races, retail and our governing body USAT’. TOUGHMAN adds that the ever growing sport has evolved into a club system….

‘In that regard we at TOUGHMAN want to give back to the club system by supporting the people who organize, attract and train the athletes who do our races.’

This year’s TOUGHMAN Half International Championship will take place on 18 September 2016 at Lake Welch, Harriman State Park (just 20 miles north of NYC). There will be over US$30,000 worth of age group awards and a cash purse of US$4,950 for elite qualifiers that come from all of the TOUGHMAN series races.
