Wiggle scores with Which? consumers as top online sports retailer

Wiggle, ‘the world’s biggest online cycle and tri-sports retailer’, has been rated as the UK’s number one best online sports retailer in the largest ever survey of online shopping experiences by consumer review specialist and campaigner ‘Which?’.

Wiggle was also ranked fifth best online retailer overall (the highest position for a sports retailer) in the survey, which covered a broad spectrum of consumer categories spanning electrical items, DIY, baby and books, to furniture, outdoors, clothing and cosmetics.

The study, which was undertaken in July 2015, involved feedback from more than 10,000 members of the British public. It was Which?’s most comprehensive survey to date and was opened to the general public for voting for the first time.

The survey asked shoppers to rate retailers on factors including price, deliveries, quality and ease of finding products. A ‘customer’ score was calculated based on customer satisfaction and the customer’s likeliness to recommend the retailers’ website and services.

Wiggle gained an impressive 83% customer score, which put it in fifth position, with electrical goods retailer AO.com taking top spot with an 87% rating.

According to Harvey Bennett, Wiggle’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, “We are delighted that consumers have rated Wiggle as the UK’s best online sports retailer in Which?’s best and worst online shops survey. This is a great accolade and a proud achievement for the business.

The Which? Rating comes at an opportune time for Wiggle as the retailer has launched its first mobile retail app, which saw it trending on the App Store in the week of launch. Wiggle adds that its ‘renowned services, superior product offering and reliability will be key in the months ahead where fitness and sport rise to the top of the agenda for consumers.’
