It’s the start of the new Dream Team TV season of UK and European endurance sports programming, and the TV production firm has a number of TV shows booked in over the next eight months. First up, is the 2017 ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon. This event with air on mainstream UK broadcaster Channel 4 on Saturday 8 April at 05:50 GMT and Ch4+1 at 06:50. The event will also be available to UK endurance sport fans via the 4OD online catch-up service.
The ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon TV show is presented by Joe Tidy and Annie Emmerson. First run in 1908, and built up in recent years by Xtra Mile Events, the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon took place on Sunday 2 April and is billed as the UK’s flattest, fastest and friendliest marathon. Awarded the official title of UK’s Best Marathon for two successive years at the Running Awards, the event also includes entertainment along the route and strong crowd support for the thousands of runners aiming for the finish at the iconic Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
