Active skincare brand, Sebamed, has renewed its partnership with the Brighton and Hove Triathlon for a third consecutive year. Joining the team as a sponsor in the event’s inaugural year, the partnership was upgraded to title sponsor for 2017, and now again next year – on Sunday 16 September 2018.

The Sebamed Brighton and Hove Triathlon saw a 20% increase in competitors for this September’s race, with 40% female entrants and 43% beginners. The sun shone as 1200 participants raced on the open-water, closed-road beachfront course on England’s south coast. Sebamed was prominent over the triathlon weekend and distributed 23,500 product samples to triathletes, their supporters and spectators.

Now in its third year, the event organisers are looking to continue growing and are hoping for 1500 competitors in 2018.

With relay options, the UK’s first ‘Rainbow Wave‘ in support of diversity and inclusion in sport, and the addition of children’s racing in 2017, Sebamed Brighton and Hove Triathlon is aiming to grow into one of the biggest events on the UK triathlon calendar.

John Lunt, Brighton and Hove Triathlon Event Director, said “We’re very excited to have Sebamed back on board for 2018. Their healthy skincare range is the perfect fit for triathletes who push their bodies hard.”

Sebamed’s Marketing Manager, Louise Ball, said of the continuing partnership, ‘We’re very excited to be working with the Brighton and Hove Triathlon team again for 2018. Looking after your skin, especially if you take part in sports or exercise, is very important. We are passionate about promoting healthy skin; and our partnership with Brighton and Hove Triathlon is the perfect match for us, especially after last year’s great success.”

Next year’s race takes place on Sunday 16 September and entries are now open.
