Entries for the 2018 Harlech Triathlon, the first to be run by Always Aim High, are now open. In May 2017, North Wales-based event operator Always Aim High announced that it will be the new organiser of the Harlech Triathlon from 2018 onwards.

Taking place on Sunday 25 March 2018, the Harlech Triathlon is a popular sprint triathlon in the UK. The event includes views across the Llyn Peninsula, a technical cycle and run route and a finish line inside a castle.

The triathlon features a 400m pool swim, a 21km out and back road cycle and a 6km sand and road route culminating in a 200-step ‘Storm the Castle’ section to the finish line within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle. The triathlon is open to both individual and team entries.

Accompanying the triathlon race is the popular Harlech Duathlon. This race includes the same 21km cycle leg, sandwiched between a 5km and 2.5km run, and includes the same ‘Storm the Castle’ section as the triathlon.

Tim Lloyd, Director at Always Aim High Events said “We are very excited to be working with the Harlech community to deliver the Harlech Triathlon next year. The race is in such a beautiful and iconic location that it is a fantastic addition to the Always Aim High Events portfolio. A perfect start to your triathlon season.”

Entries for the 2018 Harlech Triathlon are now available at a special early bird price until Sunday 16 July, after which entries will return to a standard price.
