Feetures!, a leading performance running sock company, has announced the sponsorship of elite middle distance runner Kyle Merber. A member of the world record setting-distance medley relay team, Merber capped off an impressive indoor season that included lowering his mile best to 3:52.22 in a memorable sprint to the finish with NCAA mile record holder, Edward Cheserek.
As a member of the New Jersey*New York Track Club, Merber trains with a star-studded roster of distance runners, and owns personal bests of 1:47.23 for 800m and 3:34.54 for 1500m. His 3:52 indoor mile best is the sixth fastest US time ever run for the indoor mile. Beyond his credentials on the track, Merber is an outspoken advocate for the sport, and a meet director of the popular NY based, Hoka One One Long Island Mile.
“Running has always served as a platform for me to interact with runners in the community,” said Kyle Merber. “I became familiar with Feetures! during my time working in run specialty shops, and am excited to represent a brand made up of good people making great products to help me reach my goals.”
The addition of Merber adds balance to the current Feetures! elite athlete roster, which also includes ultrarunner and 2x winner of the Hardrock 100, Anna Frost.
“Beyond what Merber has done on the track, we feel he aligns with the Feetures! mission of promoting the sport of running through his dedication to the community,” said Feetures! Marketing Director Joe Gaither. “By partnering with both Merber and Frost, it allows Feetures! to stay actively engaged with elite runners on the forefront of both track and trail. We’re thrilled to have them as members of our running family.”
