Sun Multisport Events has this week announced that the 15th annual RACE-MANIA Summit & Expo will return to Boston, MA, on Sunday 25 March 2018 at the Boston University Fit Rec Center. Designed to educate, equip and inspire endurance athletes as they prepare for a new season, the expo organisers add that RACE-MANIA ‘offers brands a powerful way to connect with an eager audience of endurance athletes actively setting goals, planning their race schedule and looking for new products.’
More than 2,000 triathletes, runners, cyclists and swimmers are expected to attend the show that features expert-led seminars, clinics and workshops; competitive events; a vendor expo; giveaways; and more.
The expo at RACE-MANIA 2017 sold out with 85+ sponsors and exhibitors, including national brands, local retailers, event directors, coaches, clubs and more – such as Garmin, Hot Shot, IRONMAN, Normatec, Hoka One One, Muscle Milk and Fuel Belt.
Past speakers at the expo include world champion athletes and Olympic gold medal winners (Ryan Hall, Mirinda Carfrae, Dave Scott, Mark Allen, Shelia Taormina), renowned coaches (Siri Lindley, Joe Friel) and endurance sports legends and personalities (Dave McGillivray, Mike Reilly, Bob Babbitt). The initial line-up of 2018 RACE-MANIA speakers will be announced in January.
Located at 915 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, MA, Boston University’s Fit Rec Center provides facilities for RACE-MANIA, including 25,000+ square feet for the expo, a high-tech theatre for presentations, multiple classrooms for clinics and workshops, an indoor track, a world-class pool and more.
RACE-MANIA is produced by the award-winning team at Sun Multisport Events. In addition to RACE-MANIA, Sun Multisport produces a series of endurance events throughout New England – ranging from sprint to half-distance triathlons plus a trail running series. Sun Multisport won ‘Best Race Series’ and its Patriot Half won ‘Best Small Race’ (less than 1,000 athletes) in the 2013 Triathlete’s Choice Awards administered by Triathlon Business International (TBI).
