New UK consumer expo, the National Running Show has confirmed the latest high-profile exhibitors and partners to sign up to its inaugural event at the NEC, Birmingham, on 20-21 January 2018.

The organising team note that more and more running-related brands are committing to this highly anticipated show, which is being positioned as the event to attend for runners of all ages and abilities. The latest names to come on board are SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, Thule, The Medal Hangar Shop and Running Heroes. These brands will be joining an expanding line-up of race organisers, sports retailers, motivational speakers, nutrition experts and online communities to inspire and inform runners pre-race season.

Of the new exhibitors, the award-winning SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is the largest marathon in Ireland and the fifth largest marathon in Europe, attracting a notable 20,000 runners to the streets of Dublin each October. The single-lap course starts and finishes close to the city centre, and ‘guarantees a friendly Irish welcome as well as a memorable run through an iconic city’.

Respected Swedish brand Thule ‘helps sports enthusiasts to transport anything they care for safely, easily and in style, so that they are free to live an active life’. From top-of-the-range roof racks and bike trailers to luggage, laptop cases and camera bags, ‘Thule enables people of all passions and pursuits to lead a healthy and active life, from families to outdoor enthusiasts, runners and more.’

The Medal Hangar Shop is the UK’s original manufacturer of stainless steel displays for athletes of any sport at any level. With over 50 designs to choose from online, for a wide range of sports and pursuits, the medal displays are suitable for the whole family and can be personalised thanks to an engraving service – positioned as an ideal gift-buying opportunity for visitors to the show.

The newest show partner, Running Heroes, is ‘the world’s first rewards platform for runners’. It works by encouraging, enhancing and rewarding its runners so that they become Running Heroes. Users simply connect their favourite running app or GPS watch and automatically earn points with runs to redeem ‘exclusive offers from fantastic brands’.

Mike Seaman, Director of show organiser Racoon Events, said “We are delighted to welcome these latest exhibitors and partners to The National Running Show, all of whom will help to inspire runners of all abilities as they plan their year of running. It is fantastic to have such a stellar line-up of exhibitors, partners and speakers already for the show’s debut, which reinforces how important an expo like this will be for the running community. We are very much looking forward to having everyone under one roof in January.”

Already secured as partners for The National Running Show are some of the UK’s most trusted running brands and communities, including UKRunChat, Run Mummy Run, Men’s Running Magazine, Women’s Running Magazine, Race Solutions, Xtra Mile Events and more.

The National Running Show takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st January 2018. Tickets will be going on sale on 1 July 2017. Those who register their interest online throughout June will secure a free ticket to the show before they go on sale.
