The Castle Triathlon Series looks to celebrate its 10-year anniversary in style this year, kicking off with a high-profile sponsorship agreement with premium sports apparel brand and compression specialist 2XU. The Castle Tri organising team note that ‘in establishing valuable brand partnerships for its competitors, the race series is once again investing in creating the ultimate race experience for triathletes on all levels.’
2XU UK becomes the official swim and compression partner of the Castle Triathlon Series in a new two-year deal. The sponsorship will see the leading performance apparel brand offer advice, wetsuit hire, event activation, and offer premium products at special rates to the 18,000 competitors expected to participate in the six Castle Triathlon Series weekend events over the course of the year.
2XU is at the forefront of the global sports compression wear market, offering up a combination of fabric technology and compression. With a strong heritage in triathlon, 2XU’s swim and tri apparel ranges can help to optimise performance in training and throughout every leg of a race.
The new Castle Triathlon sponsorship elevates the offering for all series competitors as 2XU will create active zones at the six triathlon festivals, ‘try and buy’ opportunities at training days, provide special offers on a portfolio of premium products and advise competitors, from beginner to professional, on open water swim gear.
Mike Martin, Sales and Marketing Director at 2XU said “As a brand, we have a strong heritage in triathlon – supporting athletes to the highest level of competition. Indeed, for many of us here at 2XU, triathlon is our main form of competition. We are delighted to partner with the Castle Tri Series as it’s a great way for people of all abilities to take part in a triathlon, whether beginner or seasoned elite.
“Through our 2XU active zones, more people will be able to try the benefits of our advanced compression technology.”
