Eye on classic shapes: adidas Sport eyewear’s Pacyr and Tempest

adidas Sport eyewear has added the new Pacyr and Tempest to its sunglasses collection – with the aim of giving cyclists ‘fresh new eyewear options with a classic look and trimmed down ultra-lightweight frame that provides an excellent fit for casual riding and post-ride libations.’

With no-slip contact points at the insides of the temples, an adjustable nosepiece and a flexible yet shatterproof frame that aims to hugs the contours of the face the Pacyr and Tempest feature ‘classic aesthetics while delivering modern comfort and performance where it’s needed’.

The Pacyr makes a statement with its bold and timeless aviator style while the Tempest frame seeks to stand out from the crowd with a more feminine cat-eye shape, sleek look and fashionable aesthetics. There are lots of different colour options to choose from; and to adapt to the weather outside, many lens options are part of the collection, including filters that aim to reduce eye fatigue by harmonizing light fluctuations. Prescription-ready frames can be deployed with direct in-frame glazing or clip-in inserts to accommodate all vision requirements.

Features of the Pacyr and Tempest:

  • SPX frame – ultralight, flexible and allergy-free
  • Double-Snap Nose Pads – adaptable nose pads to help ensure fit
  • Traction Grip – non-stick contact point on temples for added stability
  • Vision Advantage polycarbonate lens – scratch resistant protection
  • Prescription ready – direct in-frame glazing or clip-in inserts to accommodate all vision abilities
  • MSRP: starting at US$99
