Black Arrow Express, a consumer delivery firm under logistics provider AAI, recently sponsored the 5150 Triathlon held at Subic Bay in the Philippines. The event took place on November 4. It was run by Sunrise Events, an official licensee of IRONMAN’s 5150 series. The organisers reported that the event had more than 1,500 attendees, with over 900 international participants.
As the title sponsor of the 5150 series, and an official logistics partner of IRONMAN through 2020, Black Arrow Express stated that it is ‘proud to host an event that encourages both seasoned and novice triathletes to challenge themselves to compete at Olympic distances.’
“The 5150 race series reflects our vision and mission as a key player in the logistics industry,” said Allan Brizuela, President and CEO of Black Arrow Express. “Black Arrow Express’ passion for performance is similar to athletes’ drive and relentless dedication for success.”
Some notable race participants at the event included Black Arrow Express President and CEO, Allan Brizuela, President of Sunrise Events, Wilfred Uytengsu, as well as IRONMAN pro athletes Sam Betten, Mitch Robbins, Jakub Langhammer, Tim Linn, Dan Brown, Manami Iijima, Dimity Lee Duke, and Leanne Szeto, amongst others.
“Our sponsorship of this prestigious event also highlights our commitment to the values and attitudes we live by day-by-day — strength, stamina, and the determination to go the last mile,” added Brizuela. “We aimed to create a unique experience for everyone, from the expo all the way to the finish line, and we look forward to hosting the next 5150 triathlon races.”
