Sports eyewear company Cébé, has released a sunglass offering dedicated to women who run – the STRIDE. Designed with performance, comfort and style in mind, the new model aims to provide both a ‘trendy look and running dedicated technologies to enhance every run session in the sun’.
Mathilde Le Floch, Global Sunglasses Product Manager for Cébé, said “Whilst runners tend to focus first on the impact forces when choosing footwear, it is sometimes overlooked that vision is also a key aspect of the sport. Running generates jerking movements, perspiration and exposure to rapidly changing light conditions, which in turn, challenges the runner’s vision.
“With expertise gained by working with top international runners, Cébé has developed the STRIDE to combat these issues, whilst also designing a stylish look to give all female runners confidence when running.”
The STRIDE’s feminine shape follows the wearer’s face contours and remains in place during activity thanks to adjustable nose pads and temple tips, which ensure a customized fit, further enhanced by anti-slip rubber on the nose and the temples. For maximum comfort, the STRIDE weighs just 26g.
The sunglasses can also provide protection, whatever the weather, thanks to two options: photochromic Variochrom Perfo lenses, which adapt automatically to light from category 1 shade to a darker category 3 shade, or interchangeable lenses (category 3 for the brightest days and category 0 with a yellow tint for overcast conditions).
The STRIDE is available in five colours options and features flash mirror coatings on two models to ‘bring an additional stylish twist to any run’.
