Digital race bag specialist, eventbaxx, has announced its partnership with the Kansas City Marathon presented by Garmin, a race that has recently been awarded as ‘one of 50 US road races to attempt in your lifetime by TripAdvisor.’
The event will take place on October 20 and will feature a marathon, half marathon, 10K and a 5K. As a result of the partnership, eventbaxx will deploy its digital race bag technology to the race’s marathon participants.
By connecting partners and sponsors with the participants on an interactive platform, eventbaxx states that the ‘digital reach of the event will be increased and will offer numerous benefits to all parties involved.’

Recently named One of the 50 US Road Races to Attempt in Your Lifetime, the Kansas City Marathon gives runners a tour of Kansas City’s landmarks and neighbourhoods, including the WWI Memorial, the Sprint Center, City Hall, the Country Club Plaza, the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Brookside, Westport, the 18th & Vine Jazz District and more.
More than 15 bands along the course help provide an atmosphere, and runners can ring the giant Celebration Gong after finishing to celebrate their new PR, qualifying for the Boston Marathon, or their first time running the Kansas City Marathon. With fireworks to kick off the race, traditionally great weather and a large after-party with live music, free food and local beer, runners can embrace a full experience at the Kansas City Marathon.
