eventbaxx partners with Berkeley Half Marathon

Digital goodie bag specialist eventbaxx has announced its partnership with race organiser Jumping Fences for the Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon 2018, which takes place on November 18. After opening an office in San Francisco to increase its presence in the US market, eventbaxx adds that it is ‘now glad to work together with another renowned race in that region’.

The eventbaxx system connects participants and sponsors on an interactive platform with its digital race bag technology. Several small to large races in the US have started using the technology to improve their race experience for athletes and ‘renounce on polluting flyers and print materials’.

Marc Grewenig, co-founder of eventbaxx, who is currently located in eventbaxx’s newest office in San Francisco, said, “After just three weeks in the US I have already met numerous contacts from the endurance sector and beyond. Agreeing to partner with Jumping Fences, who also conduct the famous San Francisco Marathon, is another milestone in our expansion to the US market!”

Jillian Hansen, Partnership Development Director at Jumping Fences added, “We want to provide both our sponsors and participants [with] benefits to make our race an even better experience. With eventbaxx we can not just reach but combine both parties.”

The 6th annual Biofreeze Berkeley Half Marathon returns on Sunday, November 18th, 2018. Runners of this autumn/fall morning event experience a race tour of the city. Starting with Telegraph Avenue and Downtown Berkeley, winding through the leafy residential streets of North Berkeley, the race cruises along the waterfront near the Berkeley Marina ending at the Finish Line Festival.
