Gearing up for a big 2018: USA Triathlon starts #DreamingSeason campaign

USA Triathlon has announced the start of #DreamingSeason, a new campaign that encourages both veteran and first-time triathletes to set their goals for 2018. The digital and social media-driven campaign – running from 15 January to 2 February – connects the multisport community and provides training resources that athletes of all levels can use in the upcoming triathlon season.

First introduced by training plan software provider and USA Triathlon partner TrainingPeaks, the concept of #DreamingSeason was adopted and built-out into a full digital campaign by USA Triathlon.

“The beginning of the year is a critical time to reach current and prospective triathletes before they dive headfirst into their season,” said Chuck Menke, Chief Marketing Officer at USA Triathlon. “We encourage athletes to talk about, and openly share, their goals – however big or small. And USA Triathlon also wants to provide them with the resources to help achieve these goals.”

He added, “#DreamingSeason is designed for anyone – from long-time members to aspiring triathletes.”

During #DreamingSeason, USA Triathlon will publish inspiring content focused on training and goal-setting daily at usatriathlon.org, with leading coaches and industry experts offering their advice on everything from preparing for a first triathlon to reaching mental potential.

Throughout the three-week campaign, athletes are encouraged to comment on any USA Triathlon social media post related to #DreamingSeason on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for a chance to win special prizes from one of the following USA Triathlon partners: 2XU, ACTIVE Network, Garmin, Gatorade, KT Tape, NormaTec, ROKA, Rudy Project, Thorne Research and TrainingPeaks.

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries by 16 February, and will be notified of their prize through social media, phone or email. Complete contest rules are available at usatriathlon.org.

In addition, athletes can show their excitement for the upcoming triathlon season by downloading a #DreamingSeason-themed frame to use with their profile picture on Facebook. Athletes can visit facebook.com/profilepicframes and search for ‘USA Triathlon’ or ‘Dreaming Season’ to download.
