Weighing in at a price of €1700/ US$1950, CeramicSpeed has announced that its exclusive, limited edition ‘Victory’ OSPW system, is now available online at ceramicspeed.com and at selected retailers.
The ‘Victory Edition’ is an exclusive edition OSPW (oversized pulley wheel) rear derailleur consisting of a hand-painted cage in a pearlescent finish, 3D-printed Titanium hollow oversized pulley wheels, and is available only for Shimano 9100 groupsets (13/19-tooth combination).
Hand-painted with a unique colour mix, the cages went through several colour testing phases, before the final design was chosen. CeramicSpeed adds that, due to the special paint used, all cages are in fact unique, as the pattern is different on each cage.
With only 25 sets created, each has its own unique number and comes delivered in an exclusive box and cover. Three of the sets are being ridden by CeramicSpeed athletes. Among them is multiple Tour de France stage winner Romain Bardet, who has been using one throughout July during the Grand Tour, and world-class triathletes Patrick Lange and Mario Mola who will be riding with them in the upcoming weeks.
A fourth set has been awarded to one lucky winner of a Tour de France competition organized by CeramicSpeed, together with a complete replica of Romain Bardet’s Tour de France bicycle.
The artist behind the custom paint is Ron Jones, a master of exclusive bicycle paint jobs, owner of ProBikeDesign.com, who said, “Working with CeramicSpeed was an awesome opportunity to showcase how technology and design can be married together seamlessly. I really enjoyed painting these parts and having a chance to add some of my personal creativity and painting skill to such a cool piece of cycling art.”
The remaining sets of the special Victory Edition OSPW Systems became available for purchase on 23 August at ceramicspeed.com and exclusively at selected retailers around the world: Wolfi’s Bike Shop (Dubai), T3 Bicycle Gears Pte Ltd (Indonesia), Pro Bikes (Poland), Bike24 (Germany), Signature Cycles Greenwich (USA), City Bikes Miami (USA) and Palo Alto Bicycles (USA). (While the OSPW Systems can be ordered from today, shipping will commence from 5 September).
Customers in the United Kingdom and Canada will have to move quickly, as there will only be a couple of sets available in each country. Customers will have to request the product at the closest dealer, who will then check the stock availability for the country.
