The Specialized Enduro, Gravity and XC Racing teams will be on Magura brakes for the upcoming 2018 season. The partnership between Specialized and Magura aims to create an even stronger bond between the companies. It offers a broader base for accessories specialist Magura through its teaming up and testing with the teams.
“The test rides with the Magura products were absolutely positive,” said Benno Willeit, Team Manager at Specialized. “We are very happy to have such a strong brake partner on our side.”
Magura will provide the teams with Magura MT7 Raceline and MT8 Raceline brakes. For Magura, ‘this is more than a sponsorship’. Jochen Coconcelli, Head of Development at MAGURA, is looking forward to the personalized cooperation with the pro riders and appreciates the knowledge they can offer.
“All the riders are world elite stars and role models, be it Enduro, Downhill or Cross Country,” said Götz Braun, Head of Marketing at Magura. “Having the team work with our technicians means that we can continue to improve our products and benefit from the positive effects.”
The first benefits of the partnership were realized before the new MTB World Cup season began. Following the 2017 season, Magura began the development of new ergonomic designs and the improvement of products for the Specialized team riders. Tailor-made Magura brake levers have been made to improve performance and braking control.
