Launched to competitive swimmers in 2015, the XPRESSO competition swim suit by technical brand MP was developed by Aqua Sphere in partnership with Michael Phelps, the most decorated swimmer of all-time, and Hall of Fame Coach Bob Bowman. In response to demand, the MP brand has now launched the MPULSE swim suit.
The new MPULSE is positioned as a value technical compression suit for the budget-conscious competitive swimmer, which combines the hydrodynamic benefits of a compression suit with the flexibility and comfort of a training suit. FINA approved, the MPULSE is suitable for competitions and can also be used for training. It is available as a full suit for women SRP £96.99 and girls SRP £69.99, and as jammers for men SRP £69.99 and boys SRP £52.99. The new offering is available to buy from May via swim retailers.
All black with a ‘punch of yellow’, the MPULSE by MP benefits from Aqua Sphere’s proprietary Dynamix Technology, which is a high compression fabric blend that is built into the water repellent garment, effectively combining compression benefits with the stretch qualities of a training suit.
Aqua Sphere adds that ‘Compressing the muscles reduces vibration and keeps core muscles more fresh, aiding post-swim recovery, and Dynamix fabric technology provides compression and hydrodynamics but also good flexibility of movement, delivering a superb glide sensation through the water.’
The hydrodynamics of the MPULSE are enhanced with smooth bonded seams to ensure a streamlined silhouette, helping to reduce drag and improving swim efficiency whilst providing structure and support. Internal silicone leg grips ensure fit, and the men’s jammers include a silicone strap and adjustable waist strap for fit and comfort.
Delivering UVF protection of 50+, the very size range comprises women’s full suits in sizes 26 – 38 and girls’ in sizes 18 – 24, and men’s jammers in sizes 28 – 38 and boys’ in sizes 20 – 26.
