Billed as ‘Croatia’s best-kept triathlon secret’, the team behind the new Triathlon Long Island Croatia have released an updated video to showcase the inaugural event, which will take place on September 23rd, 2018 – on Dugi Otok (Croatian for ‘Long Island’) in the Adriatic Sea.
In addition to an original teaser video, the event team has pulled together another video presentation of the coming event. The new video showcases Dugi Otok island – with the aim of offering athletes the chance to discover a new, unique triathlon island destination.
Taking in Sakarun Bay – one of Croatia’s white sand and pebble beaches – the event organisers add that the ‘colour of the water is a Caribbean-like blue – it’s quite unique for the Adriatic Sea.’
A release from the organisers continued.. ‘The latest video spotlights Long Island (the largest island in the Zadar area) which has a lost-in-time feel, with plenty of relatively untouched natural beauty to enjoy. The intensity of the colours, including the dark green pine woods, the shimmering white pebbles, and the sea that changes hue during the day, make for a truly unique triathlon experience.’
