Each year, governing body Triathlon England recognises the people within its sport that give their free time, passion and energy to developing triathlon. As well as recognising the sport’s unsung heroes the Triathlon England Awards ceremony ‘provides opportunities for brands who want to support the community and grow the sport’.
Triathlon England adds that the majority of sports would not exist without the work of volunteers and those who put on events and training – and triathlon is no different.
Nominations occur each year to find those working behind the scenes to make triathlon accessible to all, and each year Triathlon England identifies the people and organisations who make a difference to the sport of triathlon, and that includes commercial supporters of the sport.
‘All nominees are people who go above and beyond to delivering fantastic events, coaching, officiating and volunteering.’

The national Triathlon England awards (with nominations coming from nine English regions) is being held in Loughborough on November 10th. Ahead of this, for example, British Triathlon South East winners will be announced on October 13th at the regional organisation’s AGM.
Following the close of nominations, all entries will be collated and each of the 10 UK Regional Committees (in collaboration with the Regional Manager), will identify the winner of each category for their region.
The regional winners of each category will then be put forward for a chance to win the national award in that category, and the national ceremony will take place at the AGM being held on November 10th in Loughborough.
The national winners will be chosen by a specially selected panel. Those with any enquiries can contact awards[at]triathlonengland.org.
